All of our large screen TVs are shipped on custom sized pallets. Each of our orders are scanned for accuracy of model and serial number.

We apply ShockWatch tape to the box to notify the carrier your shipment is fragile and that we are using ShockWatch stickers. When your shipment arrives you want to be sure you inspect the ShockWatch devices, note the condition of the ShockWatch on the freight bill when you sign for your shipment. The small tube on the ShockWatch sticker will turn red if it’s been tripped.

We apply a variety of stickers to your shipment to give the carriers instructions on handling. We also apply a very important sticker you want to take a close look at before signing for your shipment; this gives you instructions step-by-step on how to sign for your shipment. One of the last things we apply is an envelope with your packing slip enclosed. Then the TV is banded to the pallet to keep it in place so it doesn’t move at all during shipment, it also helps to keep it upright.

Here is some information from Mitsubishi . “Sony has publicly announced the plans to provide software upgrades for the Playstation3 to provide both 3D gaming and 3D Blu-ray playback.* Mitsubishi believes our 3D adapter will be compatible with the 3D signal output from the PS3 but until Sony provides the upgrade this cannot be guaranteed. For details on Sony’s plans, please contact Sony. There are a few individual games developed for PS3 and Xbox 360 that have 3D settings which include the checkerboard format needed for Mitsubishi 3D Ready TVs .”

Hi this is Doug from OneCall, today we’re going to be talking about the Mitsubishi LT-164 Series Edge-Lit LCD Televisions. They are available in 40 inch, 46 inch and 55 inch sizes. This television has full high definition 1080p resolution for sharp detailed images with your HD media and Blu-Ray movies.

So what works for 3D? What can you expect to watch with it? In one word, Everything. The dust is settling and the true form of 3D is starting to emerge. Sporting events take on new life, making it appear as though you are sitting in the stadium. You get first row view of your team on a field, the lay of the golf course, or the exact distance that a play was or wasn’t made. Movies now immerse you in their setting and literally draw you in as the story develops around you.

Bottom line is that 3D TVs are the best 2D TVs on the market. They are the flagships models, each draped in the finest technology that brands have to offer. “To claim HDMI version 1.4a the product must support all of the mandatory 3D formats. As you know, in the near future Mitsubishi will make available a firmware upgrade for the 738 and 838 series HDTVs to accommodate all of the 3D formats, so that Mitsubishi sets will not need the 3D adapter. Until that time, Mitsubishi cannot claim our products support HDMI version 1.4a. At the current time none of the current model Mitsubishi TVs support all of the mandatory 3D formats; however the software upgrade for the 738 and 838 series HDTVs is planned to support all of the mandatory 3D formats and some of the optional formats. Before Mitsubishi releases this software upgrade we must have these TVs re-tested for 3D support by HDMI, then we can claim HDMI 1.4a 3D support.

The 3D adapter already supports all of the mandatory 3D formats and a fairly large number of optional 3D formats. This product has already been tested by HDMI for 3D support and has passed the tests.”

3D imaging dates back to the beginning of photography in 1844. In the 1950s, TV boomed in the US and 3D movies were produced. Recently, television stations started airing 3D content. 3D-ready TV sets are built to operate in 3D but can also display normal TV as well. Special 3D glasses may be sold separately. Mitsubishi ,Toshiba, Samsung, Sony, Panasonic, and LG all plan on introducing 3D TVs available in most of their higher-end models sometime in 2010.

Some places have already tested this technology such as SKY 3D, which is broadcasting in Korea. This channel uses a resolution of 1920x1080i to produce 3D content. Starting in June, 2010 ESPN will launch a channel that will broadcast 3D sports and 85 live events a year. Also, the world will see the 2010 World Cup broadcast in this technology letting the fans become a part of the game. A 24/7 channel was announced to be released in 2010 as a combined effort from IMAX, Sony, and the Discovery channel.

So what will it cost you to impress and be impressed by this technology? The 40-inch models are sold for about $2000 with the cost of 3D glasses said to be around $100.  For 3D without glasses needed, a Chinese manufacturer called TCL has developed a 42-inch LCD 3D TV called “TD-42F” which is only available in China. It currently sells for $20,000.
