Canon EOS Rebel T3i Kit Camera Overview

Hi I’m Anthony from OneCall and I’ll be talking to you about the Canon EOS Rebel T3i digital SLR kit.

This kit includes the Canon Rebel T3i body, as well as the Canon 18-55 Image Stabilized zoom lens. This lens is great for wide angle shots like landscapes and group pictures, as well as medium telephoto for sports and portraits.

What I like about the Canon Rebel T3i is that it has an 18-megapixel CMOS sensor for higher resolution photos. It also features a wide 9-point autofocus system that helps track movement and ties in well with the 3.7 frames per second.

The Canon Rebel T3i features a 3-inch high resolution screen; this screen has over a million dots of resolution which allows you to get a clear picture of what you’re shooting. It also allows you to get low angle and high angle shots with ease and closes on itself to protect the screen from scratches. It’s also extremely useful when you’re using this cameras 1080p full high definition movie mode. This move mode allows you to shoot at 30, 25 and 24 frames per second in full HD, or you can shoot up to 60 frames a second using the 720p high definition movie mode.

The Canon Rebel T3i is incredibly easy to use just make sure the camera is in the green scene intelligent auto mode and the camera will set the best setting for optimal results. Canon’s feature guide gives you a brief description of what each feature does and the Canon 18-55mm Image Stabilized lens gives you the ability to turn your image stabilization and auto-focus on or off.

The Canon Rebel T3i features a microphone input, a cable release input, mini HDMI out, and digital out.

Canon PowerShot A3100 IS Digital Camera Overview

Hi I’m Paige with OneCall.com and we’re going to be discussing the Canon PowerShot A3100 IS Image Stabilized camera.

This camera is very compact it would be very good to fit in even the smallest of purses, in your pocket or to take with you on vacation and the Canon A3100IS is currently available in blue or red. This 12 megapixel digital camera will help you capture very large and detailed photos.

Canon’s Smart Auto feature automatically will choose between 18 different scene modes, depending on the lighting, the motion or different faces in the picture to make sure you’re getting the best picture possible. It’ll really help you look like a pro.

When using Canon’s new Super Vivid mode you’ll notice very intense colors in the pictures you capture. Whether you’re printing your photos out or simply viewing them online, you’ll find that the colors are richer and more true to life. While the low light shooting mode helps you to improve your image quality in low light situations; like at a campfire, outside in the evening, or if you find yourself indoors in low light conditions.

The 28mm wide angle zoom lens is great for capturing more from the left to the right, and fitting more people into those group photos and with the 4x optical zoom you can really zoom in there and capture a little bit more of those images that might be just a little bit far away. Of course, if you’re shooting without a tripod the optical image stabilizer will help you reduce camera shake so that you don’t end up with a blurry photo. While the 2.7-inch LCD really helps you to know what you’re taking a picture of, it helps you to view that subject, and it’s also great for viewing pictures and works excellent in all lighting situations.

Canon EOS 5D MK II… Camera or Camcorder?

Finally the convergence of two directly related media is becoming a reality. While certainly not the first SLR (single lens reflex) camera to add video to it’s repitoire, the new Canon EOS 5D Mark IIdoes so like no other. Boasting a full-frame 21-megapixel CMOS Sensor, you can expect exceptional results.

The images that have been captured by Canon’s new magic box are nothing short of breath-taking; perfectly suited for landscapes, portraits, or anything that has a lot, and I mean a LOT, of detail. The body is also quite solid.

The video mode offers infinite potential. In my opinion, what video cameras have always lacked is that sense of depth that motion picture cameras have been able to convey. The ability to convey advancing imaging depth is largely due to the capture format size and the lens’ exceptional light gathering quality. The video mode offers the sense of depth and buttery-smooth image quality that previously only motion picture cameras have been able to convey.

I can’t wait to shoot one again!

Fuji FinePix S100fs: An SLR in Disguise?

I’ve always been interested in photography but never had access to a quality camera to grow with. When my Sony point and shoot mysteriously dissapeared, I suddenly found myself in the market for a replacement camera. I had been comparing the Canon G10, Casio EX-FH20, and the Fuji S100fs. They all had their advantages, but in the end I chose the Fuji.

The features that sold me on the Fuji were the 2/3″ CCD sensor, 28-400 mm wide angle zoom lens (35mm equivalent), film emulation modes, and the flexibility of the manual modes. I always disliked the push button zoom on many of the other digital cameras. The Fuji zooms by grasping the lens barrel just like a SLR, and you can even zoom while filming movies. Unlike many other point-and-shoot cameras, the S100fs takes a 67mm filter without any adapter ring and incorporates 200,000 dots on its newly designed electronic viewfinder.

Other highlights of this camera include 3 frames per second at full 11 megapixel resolution, tilting 2.5″ LCD screen, RAW mode, dual image stabilization, face detection, dust free performance, and shoe for external flash. What really sealed the deal was the wife’s approval. She enjoyed the solid feel of the camera, loved the zoom, but was blown away by the color reproduction. The comination of the 10 group 13 element lens and the Super CCD VIII “HR” sensor together give an extraordinary performance that a non-professional can appreciate. Having owned this camera for more than 2 months, I think this will be all the camera I need.

Light! It does a video good!

Very excited that the new video light we are carrying from LitePanels is so energy efficient and versatile.

Check out the LPMicro LED light. This light will be useful for the videographer and/or interviewer. It mounts directly on to the hot shoe of the camcorder or camera. What makes this product so unique is that the light is powered by four “AA” nickel metal hydride batteries. There are no heavy camcorder batteries or power cords to connect (though you can plug in an ac adapter if you want to, sold separately.)!

This provides a nice even light and does not get hot like most video lights. It also provides some versatility by being dimmable and coming with filters to diffuse the light or making the light warmer.

This is great for any camcorder that has a shoe mount. It can also be used with digital still cameras such as the Canon 5D MK II or the Nikon D90 for video purposes.

A handy tool for the videographer’s toolbox!
