The Marantz DV4001 has TONS of features. The most noteworthy of which is the ability to play PAL DVD’s on any NTSC TV . Pretty rare feature for a DVD player marketed in the US . It does a fantastic job of upscaling (not just upconverting) standard 480i DVD’s to 1080i resolution when output via HDMI cable. The dv4001 has far better than average digital to analog converters for both video and audio for exceptional performance . 192 kHz/24-bit audio D/A converters and 108 MHz/12-bit video D/A converter.
