E3 News for Home Theater
July 14th, 2008 by Mike Knecht
The first day of E3 has produced one major home theater announcement - Netflix streaming on the Xbox 360! Basically the Roku box functionality will be recreated in the new Xbox dashboard update coming this fall. This will allow Xbox 360 Gold members who are also Netflix subscribers to instantly stream over 10,000 movie and TV shows from the company’s Watch Now service.
For someone like myself who has been happy with both the Xbox 360 and Netflix for several years this is very good news and something I’ve been hoping for.

This is good news even for a Roku early adopter like me. I can keep my Roku in the living room and use my Xbox 360 in the media room. This way, I have Netflix streaming ability in both viewing rooms!
