Panamax saved my gear

Panamax 4300

So I was sitting at home watching TV and playing video games. No surprise to anyone who knows me. I heard a “pop” and then all my equipment shut down and at that exact minute I heard a very loud crack of thunder. Lightning had struck very near my house.

I had lost a Pioneer receiver many years ago to a lightning strike. Now I was wondering which of my electronics were fried. Then I remembered how my Panamax surge protectors worked. They have a relay that shuts down the power to anything plugged into it when the voltage goes over 140v or below 90v. The “pop” I heard was the relay in my trusty M4300 protecting my home theater and the M8HT protecting my computer. Everything powered up fine. With a large sigh of relief I went over and patted my surge protector and returned to my game.

The only thing that was fried by the lightning was my in-game avatar which was scorched by nasties while I was restarting my computer.

Always use a surge protector! Panamax is the BEST!

And they make a good Father’s Day gift.

Patrick is our most experienced sales person, and has worked at OneCall longer than any other sales associate. He is a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of the electronics business and is a great go to guy for those tough questions that come up on a daily basis. Patrick was born and raised in Washington State, growing up in the Bellingham area before relocating to Spokane where he has lived for well over 12 years….he is a true Washington State native. When he’s not selling Electronics and helping our customers at OneCall, Patrick enjoys working in his garden, cooking and playing video games on his Sharp TV. If he could have any electronics product available, at the moment, he would go with the 65” Panasonic 3D Plasma TV and if he could go anywhere in the world on an ultimate vacation he would go to Australia.
