Omni-Directional Remote

RFS200 Universal Remote Control MasterControlI really do get off the couch. I enjoy camping and hiking so don’t get the wrong idea. I do like devices intended to simplify your life to do just that. I don’t like it when they add frustration. We recently added the Universal Remote control kit model RFS200 to our bedroom system. We have a 26-in TV, Audio Shelf System, Sony DVD player, Panasonic PVHS2000 Replay PVR and Comcast cable box. Like in our living-room, we had trouble hitting the target on all of our devices. Most are below the foot of the bed and the cats between us and the equipment.

The really nice thing about this remote system is that it comes with the main remote and the IR/RF converter. Simply put, a regular remote works like a high tech flash light. If the flashlight cannot shine on the equipment you are trying to control, then it cannot control it. The IR/RF converter takes the radio signal from the UFS20 Remote (non-directional and passes through walls) and converts it to IR in another location to control the DVD, Audio System etc.

Although this remote does not utilize nor require a computer for set up it is very easy. Before I had hands on with the remote myself several of my customers mentioned how easy they were to program. Universal Remote even includes an easy to follow DVD to walk you through the programming process. It’s divided into chapters depending on the level of programming needed for your system. I would give this a high rating for anyone that needs to reduce the clutter and control devices out of sight from your remote controls.
